​Our Story

 

Shirley and I have been sharing our lives together sine 1986,  we are a blended family having 6 children between us, from previous marriages.  Today we also share our lives with 12 beautiful grandchildren, a shipoo pup named Lady Rebecca of Rylestone, and two cats Miss Maggy & Miss Sasha

 

Shirley and I are both retired, and love spending each day together,  we have always enjoyed travelling and continue this practice as often as we can. We have been blessed to travel across North America, as well as parts of Great Britian, Europe, The Middle East and South East Asia.  Our next adventure will be to Scotland and trace the steps of our ancestors.

 

Today, we spend the time enjoying each others company, and still pursuing our own interests.  We live in a retirement community in northern Ontario, Canada where we embrace the changing of the seasons, as we watch the world rush by, and wonder if they will ever slow down and smell the roses.

 

Shirley was recently diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer's, we have learned to handle this horrid disease, and not allow it to dictate who we are.  This disease has taught us to be thankful for the small pleasures in life, and to embrace each day we have together.
